Admissions

 
Eligibility:  
The eligibility criteria for admission into Engineering (Including Technology), Pharmacy Professional courses shall be as mentioned below:

Seats in each Course in Un-Aided Professional Institutions are classified into CATEGORY A (70% of intake) and CATEGORY B (30% of intake).

  For CATEGORY A seats .
 
  1. The candidate shall be of Indian National
  2. The candidate should have completed 16 years of age as on 31st December of the Academic year for which the admissions are being conducted.
  3. The candidate should have passed the qualifying examination (10+2) or equivalent on the date of his/her counseling for admission and secured the rank at the Common Entrance Test conducted by the State and also satisfy other conditions laid down in the G.O.s.
  4. The candidate should satisfy Local/Non-Local status requirement as laid down in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admissions) Order, 1974 as subsequently amended.
  For CATEGORY B seats .
 
  1. The candidate shall be of Indian National or a Non-Resident Indian.
  2. The candidate should have completed 16 years of age as on 31st December of the Academic year for which the admissions are being conducted.
  3. 20% of Category B seats are available to NRI candidates who have passed the qualifying examination with not less than 60% of aggregate marks or Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) equivalent to 6 on a scale of 10.
  4. The left over seats are available to candidates from other states and Union Territories of India who have passed the qualifying examination and secured rank in AIEEE.
  5. Vacant seats if any may be filled with eligible candidates including those securing not less than 60% of aggregate marks or 60% in Group subjects in the qualifying examination 
   
Admission Norms  
Detailed information on fees, scholarships, concessions, hostel facilities, annual transport charges, courses of studies, syllabus, laboratory practicals and the theory and practical examinations duration, pattern, and academic calendar etc., will be intimated to the student after admission. Candidate must furnish correct information regarding marks, age and cast-community etc in the application. Furnishing of incorrect information, deliberately or other wise, will lead to:
 
  1. Forfeiture of allocated seat, no matter at what stage of the admission, or study process, the candidate is, at the time of detection of incorrect information.
  2. In addition, the institute reserves the right to initiate legal action against the candidate and the concerned Parents/Guardians.
  3. Application forms for the admission, should be submitted, along with 4 passport and 4 stamp size photographs.
  4. Students, from other states, should produce migration certificate from competent authority.
  5. All admissions, are provisional, and are subject to the approval of Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kukatpally, Hyderabad.
  6. Fees are to be paid, in a single installment at the beginning of every academic year, by crossed, A/C payee DD, in favour of B.I.T. Institute of Technology, Hindupur. 
  7. Fees, once paid, are not refundable
